Reading other reviews for this made me think that it would be impossible to use the strap to wear it on my back, but I found that it is possible. For the strap there are two options for where you can click it in.As for the quality of the leather itself, it's better than any of the Chinese grade leather that's sold on here. The material is genuine leather and doesn't have any funky smell that may come with cheaper leather goods. As for the inside material I am not sure what it is, but it's a high quality material that doesn't interfere with sliding the gun in and out of it.As for fit it is perfect, my Rossi R92 was able to squeeze in there seamlessly and the end of the holster is closed so the barrel won't protrude past the case. Personally, I was not expecting to this leather holster to have a closed tip at the end, but it is a welcome surprise.In short, this is a great holster that's not made in China and will hold your lever action gun just fine without slipping or any issues.
